What You Need To Know About No Cost Advertising: Part One By Matt Bacak

Often times those who venture into the online world of creating their own websites in various niches and various forms i.e., blogs, content websites, ecommerce websites etc., later realize that building a website is not enough. Once you've build your website and made it live on the World Wide Web, it's time to advertise your site and spread the word about it's existence. As you know, there are many facets to internet marketing and even though you've gotten over the hurdle of building your own website, you still have to figure out how to drive enough consistent traffic to it to begin thinking of producing a profit. After all, it did cost you a bit of money to launch it and get it running, now it's time to gain some exposure. But how do you do it?
If you are struggling with traffic, and you aren't seeing any profits and have zero funds to put into advertising on a regular basis, what methods do you use to advertise your site?
This is a very good question and it represents the predicament that a lot of new online marketers find themselves in, especially those that are unemployed. I totally understand that, because I've been there. I've struggled in the beginning and can completely identify with that. Everyone has to start somewhere right!
I can give you a list of 10,000 different places to get traffic, but let me tell you the best traffic source you're ever going to find is inside forums. Now even if I don't know what niche you're in online and have no idea what your website is about, if you've got time go inside an active forum or the message board in your particular marketplace and write some posts that are helpful to other forum members, and posts that will bring value to the discussion, this can help you to gain respect in your marketplace and gain more traffic. If your posts are informative and they are helpful to people, they will want to get to know you better and then will start clicking on any links you provide for them inside your signature file at the bottom of your post.
The more you help, the more links you're going to have circulating out there. By doing this, you will inevitably gain more traffic and you will drive more people to your website, if your forum post relates to the topic on your pages. So whatever sites that you have online, if you have knowledge in that area, you can help people make their lives easier with your content and product offerings. It doesn't matter what the niche is, because you will find message boards for pretty much anything and everything. So, get out there and start posting, people are always ready to get to know more about you and your business.
